I. Basic design ideas.

1, consider the relationship between the process characteristics of plastic injection molding machine and mold design;
2, the mold structure of the reasonableness, economy, applicability and practical feasibility.
3, the correctness of the structure shape and size, manufacturing process feasibility, material and heat treatment requirements and correctness, view expression, size standards, shape and position errors and surface roughness and other technical requirements to comply with international standards or national standards.
4, the design should take into account factors such as ease of processing and maintenance and repair, safety and reliability. 5, combined with the actual conditions of production to consider the design of the mould 'processing easy, low cost.
6, for complex moulds, consider the use of mechanical processing methods or the use of special processing methods, how to assemble after processing, after the trial mold with sufficient repair margin and other issues.
Three, plastic mould design process.
1, accept the mission statement.
There are generally the following three situations.
A: the customer to determine the validation of the plastic part drawing and its technical requirements (two-dimensional electronic drawing file, such as AUTOCAD, WORD, etc.). At this point, you need to build a three-dimensional model (product design work content), and then out of the two-dimensional engineering drawings. B: The customer gives a finalised drawing of the plastic part and its technical requirements (3D electronic drawing files such as PROE, UG, SOLIDWORKS, etc.). As long as the two-dimensional engineering drawings are produced. (for common cases)
C: The customer gives the plastic part sample, hand board, in kind. At this time requires mapping plastic parts copy number processing, and then build a three-dimensional model, and then out of two-dimensional engineering drawings.
2、Collection, analysis and digestion of original information: A: analysis of plastic parts
a: clarify the design requirements of the plastic part, through the drawing to understand the materials used in the plastic part, design requirements, the use of complex shapes and high precision requirements of the plastic part occasions, assembly and appearance requirements.
b:analyse the possibility and economy of the moulding process of the plastic part
c: clarify the production lot (production cycle, production efficiency) of the plastic part, which is usually indicated in the customer's order. d: Calculate the volume and weight of the part.
The above analysis is mainly for the purpose of selecting injection equipment, improving equipment utilisation, determining the number of cavities in the mould and the size of the mould filling cavity.
B: Analysis of the plastic moulding process.

C: technical specifications of the moulding equipment
The diameter of the positioning ring of the injection machine, the radius of the nozzle front sphere and the size of the aperture, the maximum injection volume, injection pressure, injection speed, clamping force, the maximum and minimum opening distance between the fixed side and the movable side, the size of the projection area of the fixed plate and the movable plate and the location and size of the mounting screw holes, the adjustable length of the injection machine pitch nut, the maximum opening stroke, the pitch of the injection machine tie bar, the diameter and position of the ejector rod, the ejector stroke, etc.
D: manufacturers commonly used manufacturers mould materials and accessories ordering and processing methods (preferably in the factory processing) 4, determine the mould structure.

A: process technology requirements: geometry, size tolerance, surface roughness, etc. in line with international standards.
